Fengguang Guo, Ph.D.
Fengguang joined the lab in 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science. His previous work mainly focused on discovering antiparasitic drug targets and in studying host-pathogen interaction. His primary research interest in the de Figueiredo Lab is to investigate how bacteria stimulate the innate and adaptive immune system to facilitate cancer therapy using genetic, and molecular and cellular biological tools. He is also interested in developing an anaerobic device for maintenance and culture of gut microbiota
