Jyotsana Gupta, Ph.D.

Jyotsana Gupta obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology and Kurukshetra University, India. Her research interests include the rapid development of a microfluidic platform that will support the identification of neutralizing antibodies against; siRNA targeted therapy and development of broad-spectrum antiviral agents that can be valuable at the early stages of an epidemic outbreak such as COVID-19; vaccine design, development and efficacy testing against Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy and Influenza using a mouse model. She has worked with different mouse models (i.e., inbred, outbred and genetically modified collaborative-cross mice) in her research. Her training involves areas of virology (Influenza), NGS (RNA-Seq transcriptomics, metagenomics of microbiome), molecular biology, immunology, microbial pathogenesis (Salmonella and MRSA), cancer biology and genomics.
